So overall, I'd say it's worth it at 50% off presuming you have a good enough system (IMO at least an i7-8700 or Rypaired with at least a 2060 at 1080p or a 2070 at 1440p) and if you are willing to take the risk of encountering a save file bug.Between CDPR overselling some of the 'living' game world, and the player created hype, the game was never going to live up to the expectations placed upon it. I played on the Hard difficulty and I found that there were a couple weapons and skills that absolutely broke the game and made it extremely easy (I felt the same way about W3). The combat is arguably better than Witcher 3's combat but it's still not deep deep like Deus Ex or another immersive sim. That said, I enjoyed the main story, the characters, and the world-building quite a lot. There are a few key choices that impact the ending but you're still following a fairly set critical path. It's relatively linear and railroaded and the different lifepaths do not have a huge impact on the game. It feels more like a Far Cry game with a Cyberpunk setting. Not a masterpiece, and not really much of an RPG to be honest. As for the game itself, it's pretty good. I played the whole game with the Steam controller and it was perfect.

If you have a Steam controller or another gyro-enabled controller, this game plays incredibly well with a gyro aim setup. This particular side quest was not one of the ones that has a big influence on the ending, as far as I can tell, but it was still a fairly significant story side quest so this was very frustrating to me, and it makes me nervous that somebody else might have this happen to them in a main quest mission and be completely locked out of finishing the game.

I tried a full reinstall of the game and started the side quest again only to encounter the same problem. I had to re-load a save from before I started the side quest.

Most of them are minor things like occasional animation glitches, but I did have a handful of crashes (less than 5 over the course of 80 hours of play) and one major save corruption issue, where I couldn't progress a certain side quest without manual saving becoming impossible. Biggest issue: the game is still relatively buggy. While the game isn't always visually consistent as a whole, there were individual moments where I thought to myself 'this is the best-looking video game scene I've ever seen.' Traffic and other small world geometry tend to draw in very close to the camera in an annoying way. The other main visual issue pertains to draw distance, especially with traffic. These settings mostly look quite good, with the exception of some ghosting on lights (and I'm honestly not sure if that was caused by DLSS or because my monitor is a VA panel).

I used a 60 fps cap and was able to hit it at all times - at least, any dips were minor enough that VRR made them unnoticeable.
